On 08/17/07 Officers of the West Liberty Police Department along with Deputy Kenny Dulin of the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department conducted a Safety Checkpoint on KY 7. The 17th began the Labor Day Holiday Highway Safety Enforcement Mobilization Drunk Driving Over the Limit Under arrest, which runs August 17th through September 3rd. Officers checked approximately 200 vehicles issuing 5 citations and making 1 arrest for DUI.

Officer Tim Smedley attended and completed the PPCT Defensive Tactics Instructor Course at DOCJT in Richmond, KY.
09/02/2007 - WLPD Conducts Labor Day Weekend Safety Checkpoint
Officers of the West Liberty Police Department along with Deputy Kenny Dulin of the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department and Constable Steve Pelfrey conducted a Safety Checkpoint on KY 7.  Officers checked approximately 130 vehicles issuing 7 citations; no arrests were made.
